Thompson Machine Gun - High Poly - WIP

I'm working on this for my portfolio, it's a Thompson machine gun. It's just a high poly model for now, low poly and textures coming soon.

Leather Chair

This was an asset I worked on during school. I said that I would go back and to it and do some touch ups, but that was four months ago and I haven't touched it since. So I guess it time to release it into the wild.

Finally a new post...

It's been a while since my last post, and boy have been busy. I started the Game Arts program at Seneca College in September  and I finally have something worth posting. This is an assignment I did in my environment modeling class, the goal is to recreate a scene from a piece of concept art. I actually choose a scene from one of my favorite movie in recent years, guess what.

That's right the answer is Inglorious Basterds

Some new paintings

I started doing chuistream contests again. The topics where picked by the artists being interviewed (Derek Thompson and Aaron Hartline). Their topics where Godzilla and Mr. "something"-head (a variation from a scene in Toy Story 3).

Scene 8

This is the first completed scene in my film. Well, almost complete. The background needs a bit more work and I might throw in some more effects later. I spent a little more time on this scene then I would have liked, but it's the first one and now I know how fast I need to work inorder to complete my film in time.

Also here is another background I paint a while ago. I just never gotten around to post it.

Action Analysis

Today I was criticized for not updating this blog since this summer. My response: none. I had no reason to leave this blog unattended for so long other than pure forgetfulness. So here is what I've been up to this year. It's a action analysis assignment, mine takes place in a school gymnasium, the action is a bully mercilessly throwing a dodge ball. I should be complete before the holidays. I'll post it if it isn't god awful.

Someone mentioned that my layout reminded them of a little film staring Bugs Bunny and Michael Jordan. That's right you've guessed it, it's none other than my pick for 1996's movie of the year Space Jam (I was 9yrs old) . God damn it, I need to watch this movie again. Soon!

Some concept stuff

Here are some location designs for a group film.

You probably guesses that the last one is the one that does not belong. It was for an earlier idea that unfortunately got scraped. It was for the best.

Adventures at the Zoo

I work fairly close to the zoo now so I am planning to make a habit of visiting often to do some sketching. My first visit was this Monday. Whenever I visit the zoo I always go straight for the elephants, and this time was no different. After patiently waiting for the elephants to come out of hiding I was rewarded with the site of all five elephants out and about and enjoying their meal.

I was pretty far along in a sketch when a family came by to poke their nose in my sketchbook, I guess I'm use to this by now so I manage to keep working but I can still hear them talking about me in a foreign language. The mother came up to me and complemented my drawing, she then tells me "My son thought your drawing was the internet". I knew she meant an image OFF the internet and not that my drawing was actually the series of interconnected computer networks, but I couldn't help but to laugh a little bit. I thanked her for her kind words and continued to work.
